We are constantly inspired by fashion. One of our favorite things to do is create cushions for iconic chairs using luxury fashion pieces whether they are shawls, blankets, large sweaters, fur coats. We can do anything. Our collection of chairs using Isabel Marant wool silk scarves was one of our favorites.
When we saw the Gabriela Hearst Debs Poncho walk down the runway at the Spring 2022 show, we knew it would create the coolest chairs. The sculptural quality of the Umberto Riva chairs became the perfect match to the hand-knit cashmere.
Gabriela Hearst champions artisans around the world. The Debs poncho and similar Levy blanket were handwoven by Manos del Uruguay, a non-profit organization that provides work to artisans. The pattern, hand-drawn by Gabriela, is fluid and abstract, the colors are bright and joyful, and the knit is thick and cozy. We love the combination with the sharp angles of the chairs. Truly one of a kind.
