We are so excited to welcome Attersee to the Forsyth Studio for the month of December. Founded in the Summer of 2021 by Isabel Wilkinson Schor, Attersee is an American label based in New York City. Attersee takes its name from the lake in Upper Austria where the artist Gustav Klimt spent his summers in the 1890s and early 1900s. He was drawn to this lake because it was a place to swim, paint, read and congregate with friends. Klimt was so enthralled with his time there that he longed for it year round, once writing to a friend while stuck in Vienna "I long to be gone like never before." The universal spirit of this quote inspires the name Attersee and the brand ethos is one of quality, simplicity and ease; garments that are inviting, easy to live in and easy to explore in.
We are in love with Attersee and the effortlessness of every piece. We discovered the label when they launched with their inaugural collection, Collection I, this past Summer. Pieces were fashioned in breezy, lightweight cottons and linens. Their Collection II introduces luxurious cashmere from Loro Piana, heavy cotton poplin, and satin. For home, the cashmere caftans and pop-over shirts are relaxed and cozy. And for holiday dressing, the satin fringe dress and fringe top are easy perfection. They are the items you can comfortably live in daily but with a touch of chicness and sophistication.

We highlighted a few of our favorite pieces.
The Cashmere Wrap Coat | Made from Loro Piana Cashmere, the Wrap Coat has a robe-like silhouette and a fluid, elegant drape. Finished with velvet ribbon trim and an open neck for easy layering, this single-face coat is sophisticated but unfussy.
The Tuxedo Bib Tunic | In Attersee’s signature Washed Cotton Poplin, the Tuxedo Bib Tunic is a functional piece that can be easily layered into your wardrobe. Its finely-pleated tuxedo bib is affixed with a navy velvet ribbon, which ties neatly behind the body, emphasizing the waist. With a high-to-low hem and subtle side vents, it can be worn as a dress — or over pants.
The Fringe Top | A satin-backed crepe shirt lined in thigh-skimming fringe. The neckline is trimmed with a black velvet bow that ties loosely in the back. Wear with jeans for dinner or everyday — or pair it with Attersee's Cocktail Pants, an elegant yet festive set for any party.
The Cashmere Pop-Over | In lightweight Loro Piana Cashmere, this is a streamlined version of our classic Pop-Over, now slimmed to skim the body. With dropped shoulders and a placket that buttons neatly up the front, it is simultaneously polished — and inherently relaxed.
